This was my entry into PCBWay's 11th PCB design contest. It is a creative lightbulb-shaped badge featuring touch-activated LED animations, combining PCB art with functional electronics. The badge celebrates PCBWay's 11-year journey with an interactive cog/gear LED pattern that comes to life when you touch the golden snake base.

The '11', being the 11th year of the contest and PCBWay's birthday, is the filament holder in the light. The cogs demonstrated by the RGB LEDs are from my logo and convey the close work between PCBWay and my Platima Tinkers brand whilst being the filament in the lightbulb. The gold snake and trees (bamboo, Chinese pine) symbolise 2025 being year of the Wood Snake in Chinese culture, the code is designed to build with Arduino to make available to the widest possible audience, and the touch-activation is for human interaction.

In this I have the display forced-on via shorting pads on the back, but typical functionality is idle/off until you make contact with the snake, eg thumb press.

The animations I put in, as shown cycling;
1. Rainbow
2. PCBWay green (although it appears a tad blue in the video)
3. Rich red for good fortune
4. Green and gold for Australia
5. Plain white
