Brussels, Belgium | Atomium & Mini Europe

Two fun attractions to visit in Brussels are the Atomium and Mini-Europe. They are located right next to each other, and about a 40-minute train ride away from the city center.

Originally constructed as part of the 1958 World’s Fair, the Atomium was never actually intended to be a permanent structure. It’s now the most popular tourist attraction in Brussels with over 600,000 visitors per year.

Mini-Europe contains 1:25 scale reproductions of many famous monuments and symbolic buildings located across Europe. Over 30 different countries are represented.
