Neve Campbell finally speaks out about the rumors that she will be joining the Scream 5 cast. Find out how she responded to the idea that the Scream 5 directors pitched to her.

Is Sidney in Scream 5? All signs indicate that Neve Campbell returns for Scream 5. While interviewing with Jake Hamilton and promoting her new movie "Castle in the Ground" via webcam from her home, Neve Campbell confirmed that she has been in talks with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Scream 5 Ready or Not). Update: The original video has now been taken down. I suppose she wasn't supposed to talk about Scream 5 at all.

She didn't divulge any details about the Scream 5 plot, but said that she liked their approach and thought that it would still be honouring Wes Craven. We know that Scream 5 had it's filming date set for May 2020, which means that it would have been going into production right about now.

Obviously that won't be happening as planned, but it is speculated that the Scream 5 writer is indeed Kevin Williamson, who will also be executive producing. We also have unconfirmed rumors that Courteney Cox and David Arquette have also been approached to join the Scream 5 cast, as the directors are now following them on Twitter. Still no news on whether or not Kirby will be in Scream five.

In any event, whether this is a Scream reboot or sequel, it seems like all the original actors will be returning to the Scream franchise once again, with a probable 2021 release date. Keep checking back on my channel for all your Scream 5 news and updates.
