Sweden 3.0 | Navid Modiri | TEDxAlmedalen
This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. We need to change the way we converse. Let's talk about what makes us strangers to each other.
Navid Modiri is an artist, writer and a highly appreciated lecturer, on creativity. His basic thesis is simple: everything that exists today has been made up by someone, at some point, and our findings today will be here tomorrow. Navid Modiri has started the projects ”Sweden 3.0” and ”Oss alla” to create a more open and tolerant society. He has also been a tv-anchor and operated the blog ”365 saker att göra”. During the tv- and radio show Musikhjälpen 2013, Modiri won a golf round with the leader for the Swedish right-wing populist party Sweden Democrats, Jimmi Åkesson. Modiri wanted to give Åkesson “a round of golf with a Swedish guy with dark beard who love to ask tough questions, from the heart.” He is one of the hosts for Swedish Radio:s program ”Sommarpratarna” during the summer of 2014.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
