The thunderstorms on Saturday heavily impacted parts of Piedmont and the Aosta Valley.
The municipality of Cogne is isolated due to a landslide in the Epinel hamlet.
The municipality is home to about 1,300 residents, along with visitors and tourists.
Approximately 90 millimeters of rain fell in the town over a six-hour period during the day.
The most critical situations occurred in the lower valley, the area of Cogne, and Valtournenche.
