After the announcement of Assembly election dates, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the BJP will release its candidates’ list on March 18 following a meeting of the party’s parliamentary board.

Speaking to the media, Sarma said a BJP meeting will be held a day earlier to finalise preparations for the polls. He also made sharp remarks about the opposition, saying that by 2030, Congress may not have Hindu leaders.
