Glenn Miller - May 8th, 1941

Please Note: These broadcasts are owned by the Estate of Glenn Miller and courtesy of Sony Legacy and the Estate of Glenn Miller. This Chesterfield broadcast from Thursday May 8th, 1941 is a real gem. Only three songs on the show that night but the first two were never recorded in the studio by the band. Paula Kelly and the Modernaires do “I Take To You” and Ray Eberle sings “A Love Song Hasn’t Been Sung” which was written by two of the Modernaires Hal Dickinson and Bill Conway and co-written and arranged by Jerry Gray. The final song was a fan favorite “Swing Low Sweet Chariot” with some fancy “Trigger” Alpert bass. This show was heard on the CBS radio network from 10:00 PM to 10:15 PM (Eastern Time).
