How to Use Less Water when Refreshing | #shorts

Which of these will you try? ⤵️ Stop soaking your hair with water every day to refresh if you want to prevent hygral fatigue.

💧What is hygral fatigue💧
Damage to the inner layers of your hair that happens over time from repeated swelling and drying of the hair. The hair swells when it gets fully saturated, and retracts back when it's dried.

💦 Here are 3 ways you can use LESS water when refreshing:
1. Dampen your hands and redefine only the curls that need it. Pick up individual curls that are frizzy and smooth out the frizz. Finger coil to redefine if needed. Air dry.

2. For more of an all-over refresh when you need to redefine all of your curls, use a mister spray bottle to lightly dampen your hair without soaking it. Apply a little more product if needed such as the gel you used on wash day. Diffuse to set.

3. Skip using water entirely and just use a water-based foam or thin, slippery gel to redefine curls. Air dry.

☝️Better yet, don't use any water and instead try:
Refreshing with an oil
Wearing a cute hairstyle or a headband
Get used to the frizz & tangles and let your curls be in their natural state 💗
