Here's how I like to part my curls:

1. Split my top section of hair in half with clean lines.
2. Using a brush, direct the hair around the crown up and back
3. Brush the front section straight up and allow the curls to separate where they naturally want to group. I make a part about 1-2 inches long.
4. Brush style the front section taking vertical pieces and wrapping them around the brush handle close to the root for maximum lift.
5. Diffuse using the prongs to lift the roots.
6. OPTIONAL: place claw clips around part and spritz with hairspray. Let it sit then remove.
