Spotlight Initiative Regional Africa Programme Activities

The Spotlight Initiative, launched in 2017, is a global partnership between the European Union and the United Nations to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls. In Africa, the Initiative is deploying large-scale investments to eliminate gender-based violence against women and girls through the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme (SIARP).  SIARP provides a regional response to addressing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), harmful practices (HP) and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), putting a special focus on empowering women's movements in Africa.
