The Prescriptions open for John Paul White and play a new unreleased song called "April Blossoms" live in concert at The Chapel in San Francisco, CA on June 16, 2019. The Prescriptions are from Nashville, Tennessee and consist of Hays Ragsdale (lead vocals/ guitar), Chris Luebeck (guitar), Parker McAnnally (bass), and John Wood (drums). Their debut album, Hollywood Gold, was released on April 5, 2019 on Single Lock Records. April Blossoms is expected to be included on The Prescriptions' next record.

Formed in 2015, Nashville based rock band The Prescriptions have quickly become a “must see” act in the southeastern regional music scene. Following the release of their EP “Either Side” in 2016, The Prescriptions have released their debut album Hollywood Gold through Single Lock Records . Since releasing Hollywood Gold The Prescriptions have toured extensively throughout the US on their own while also playing alongside acts such as John Paul White (formerly of The Civil Wars), Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, Erin Rae, and many others. In an interview with lead singer and songwriter Hays Ragsdale, Billboard stated that Hollywood Gold, "demonstrates a considerable breadth in Ragsdale's writing, ranging from Laurel Canyon folk rock and Americana to echoes of vibey new wave and power pop." While The Prescriptions may come by their Southern style of narrative songwriting honestly, they refuse to rest on the laurels of their musical heritage. Songs like “Hollywood Gold” reflect the band's deep appreciation for their musical heroes while also showcasing the commitment and drive towards something new.
