Prince Harry steps out in uniform to honor British Army veterans on 75th anniversary of D-Day

(6 Jun 2019) PRINCE HARRY STEPS OUT IN UNIFORM TO HONOR BRITISH ARMY VETERANS ON 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF D-DAY
Prince Harry stepped out in uniform to honor veterans of the British Army in south-west London Thursday (6 JUNE 2019).
The Duke of Sussex - a former Army officer - visited the Royal Hospital Chelsea to review the Chelsea Pensioners at the annual Founder's Day Parade, which commemorates King Charles II's founding of the institution in 1681.
The Duke laughed and joked with the servicemen and women, and during a speech, said he was "honored" to be in their company, particularly six servicemen who took part in Operation Overlord 75 years ago.
Nearly two thousand veterans, their families, friends and regimental representatives were present.
The Duke was dressed in his Blues and Royals frock coat and peaked cap, and he carried a sword.
World leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump, British Prime Minister Theresa May and French President Emmanuel Macron, have gathered in France today to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
