You will learn about the best technologies for studying English I've come across with loads of great activities. We will cover reading, audio activities, grammar and vocabulary. Perfect for students who are above intermediate level.
Breakingnewsenglish.com is a great free tool with loads of options but I will highlight the best games and activities which you might find very useful for your students or if you are a student working on your own.
Firstly, we will look into listening material and activities where you can play the audio at different speed, accents, levels and there is a whole range of different audio activities you can do to improve the listening skills. There is a very useful feature for the students so you can read the text while you are listening. What is more, you can download the audio to make use of them perhaps on your mobile phone or other device.
Secondly, we will look into gramma activities at different levels because some of the gramma exercises are easier than other and I will take you through some of them. These are prepositions activities, word order and gap fill activities which are more difficult.
Thirdly, we will go through reading and vocabulary exercises. There are many options too for example; Text Jumble activity where you have to reproduce the text which helps your reading gramma, vocabulary and great practice for working with the language in the text. If you want to improve your vocabulary the Missing Word activity is really good.
We will finish with gem activities on this site which can be used in class with the students so they could work together as well as for self-study at home.
