Canada has some of the highest prescription drug prices in the world. Big pharma companies can pretty much charge whatever they want for their products in Canada, without revealing how much the drugs cost to make. The Liberals have promised more transparency and lower prices, but former Liberal health minister, now independent MP, Jane Philpott says plans are stalled. The Weekly investigates big pharma’s influence on the debate.
