$60 DIY Leg Vise

In this video I show you how to make a simple, easy, and strong leg vise from a readily available and relatively inexpensive bench vise. By turning a bench vise 90 degree I was able to make a leg vise. In this video I show you how to do it yourself, also I show you how to solve the occasional problem of vise racking when using this leg vise. Project 38.

The vise I am using is a Pony 27091 8"x7" medium duty woodworker's vise. I purchased this vise for $59.36 in 2020. The thickness of the leg on my bench is ~3".
