They are arguably the most thrilling of all the falcons to watch, capable of displaying the most incredible aerial agility while relentlessly pursuing their prey until it tires enough to catch, as happened in the minutes preceding this clip. After a lengthy chase on the cliffs, eventually this young Merlin had the unfortunate Meadow Pipit in its clutches, and it paused for a few moments to catch its breath.
