Remembering MF DOOM’s Legendary Hip Hop Career. R.I.P to Daniel Dumile, known by his fans as MF DOOM 1971-2020. MF DOOM was a 49-year old rapper from London, England. MF DOOM gained popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s when he started making waves in the underground hip hop scene. He gained people’s attention after he created the hip hop persona MF DOOM and the iconic mask that went along with the character. It was inspired by comic book character Doctor Doom and it was a persona that Dumile would portray for his entire music career.

MF DOOM was known for his sharp lyricism, punchline raps, monotone voice, lyrical humor, unconventional production and intricate rhyme schemes. His most iconic albums include his debut album Doomsday (1999), MM Food (2004), Madvillainy with Madlib (2004) & Born Like This (2009). The legendary MF DOOM influenced many artists from this generation including Childish Gambino, Drake, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, Joey Bada$$ and many more.
