Fusing Coroplast & Applications: Part 1 Jointing large sheets
I have been experimenting using heat to fuse coroplast together and I am going to share my learning in this series. This technique opened up the door for me to build different types of boats using coroplast.
Part 1: The 4'x8' coroplast which we can get at Home Depot, etc. is too small to build a boat. This video provided you an option to joint sheets together to build a larger and usable boat. You can use tape to make a larger sheet, which I have tried. But fusing sheets together can create a much stronger joint, and lower cost also.
Part 2: Test how good the fused joint is, especially when compared with a glued joint.
Part 3: Is about the types of fused joints
Part 4: One of my goals is to build foldable boats. I will explore how the fused sheet affects the foldable boat design.
Part 5: I will have examples on how to use heat fusion to create accessories for the boat.
Part 6: TBD
I have many ideas in using heat fusion technique. I expect this series will last for a year as I find time to implement those ideas and create videos for sharing.
