IOWA TORNADO OUTBREAK, July 14, 2021 - The Rear Flank Ep. 4: "Lieowa"

Episode 4 of The Rear Flank web series was filmed in what is known amongst many in the storm chasing community as "Lieowa", affectionately due to the area's commonly complicated summer forecasts that often result in no storms. Statistically this simply isn't true at all. Myself and Shane Ornales left Fargo on a high-risk, high-reward setup in the morning hopeful that the early morning storms would clear out in time for a surface low to move in during the afternoon and bring with it a stout, moist warm front under decent mid level flow. The result was an outbreak of tornadoes across the state.

Make sure you watch to the end :)
