April 1 All passenger flights to Vietnam on all airlines are suspended from April 1, 2020.

Vietnam has suspended the entry of all foreigners from March 22 until further notice to limit the spread of COVID-19. The measure will not apply to diplomats, officials, foreign investors, experts, and skilled workers as per Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

When a person tests positive (called F0), a list is made of all the people with whom they have come into contact. These people (called F1) are immediately contacted and sent for a 14-day quarantine in closed quarters (barracks, hotels and apartment blocks requisitioned for this purpose), or in their own homes.
They are systematically tested and must inform the people with whom they in turn have been in contact. This third category of people (F2) will have to respect social distancing and, if possible, self-isolate at home for 14 days. If someone from the F1 category tests positive, they become "F0" and the process is repeated until all potentially infected people have been tracked.

Việt Nam's wartime strategy successfully deployed for COVID-19 battle

Việt Nam recently celebrated the 45th anniversary of the country’s National Reunification and victory over a global superpower, but it has also been praised internationally in the past few weeks for initially winning the battle against an invisible enemy – the novel coronavirus.
Even though the SARS-CoV-2 virus has led to more than 3.5 million infections and 240,000 deaths globally, there have been only 271 confirmed cases (or 2.8 cases per million people) so far in Việt Nam, and no deaths reported. According to official figures, the country has recorded no new cases of community transmissions of the coronavirus for 18 days.
This is no small feat since Việt Nam shares a long border with China, the epicentre of the COVID-19 pandemic, is a low-income country, and has a huge population of 95 million people.
The World Economic Forum, the Financial Times and many others have applauded Việt Nam for its low-cost COVID-19 control and prevention model, and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute said “decisive leadership, accurate information and community solidarity” had helped Việt Nam to manage the pandemic.
So what's the secret? It was the Government’s call for action: Fighting the epidemic is like fighting the enemy.
This is a success story the country has used throughout historic wars to mobilise nationalism.
The Government has even dubbed its campaign against COVID-19 the Spring General Offensive of 2020 — an echo of the General Offensive, General Uprising of 1975.
