Rekha Biopic | From 1 to 64 Years

Glamour, beauty, persona, talent and firmness these all adjectives have come together in the form of phenomenal actress Rekha (10 oct1954) who was born as a Bhanurekha Ganesan. Her mother who was a successful Telegu actress of her time was not married to her father when she was born. She didn't have any kind of inclination to acting but was forced to enter in this industry to support her family and seriously ill mother.

She made her debut as a child actress in Telegu films and her first Hindi films was "Sawan Bhado". But she had to face too much criticism because of her unconventional look and poor Hindi. But she took it as a challenge and proves her in the critically acclaimed film "Ghar" and after that she turned the industry stunned with her phenomenal performance in "Mukaddar Ka Sikandar" with Amitabh Bachhan. In spite of having extreme success in her acting career she always has been very unlucky in terms of personal relationship.

She was married to an industrialist but he committed suicide after one year of their marriage. She got Filmfare awards for best actress and for best supporting actress and she was also honored by National Award for her eternal performance in "Umrao Jaan". She also got facilitated by Padma Shri.
