Tie-dye pattern : Galaxy Turtle (Skull & Geodes Shell with STARS!)

Today I am demonstrating how to tie-dye a Galaxy Turtle (Skull & Geodes Shell with STARS!) pattern tapestry using the ice tie dye method. This is a step by step tie-dye tutorial video where I cover the entire process starting with the folding and drawing of the sea turtle & skull outline pattern on the tapestry. Then I pleat fold and tie up the tapestry using sinew, and from there proceed to scrunch and rubber band the rest of the tapestry. For the next step I apply all of the procion dye powders on top of the tapestry. After that I add ice right on top of the procion dye powder, let it sit for 24 hours, give it a good rinse, and jump right on into the reveal of our new galaxy turtle tie-dye tapestry. However, for this tie-dye tapestry I'm not finished just yet! After washing I take the tapestry and using a tooth brush I sprinkle on a 75% bleach + 25% water mixture to apply stars to the tapestry.
