The Center for Engineering and Industrial Development, CIDESI, was founded on March 9, 1984. It is part of the System of Research Centers managed by the National Council of Science and Technology, CONACYT.

CIDESI contributes to the development of our country's productive sector through research and innovation projects, as well as highly specialized technology services, it has sites in Querétaro, the State
of Mexico, in Nuevo León, and the Technology Consortium of Baja California in Tijuana.
