Mravaljamieri (Georgian folk song) Meaning: "May You Live" (a long life)

Is a Georgian folk song, the title and the one-word text of which can be translated as "[may you live] a long life". It is a popular and widespread toasting song, with dozens of different versions from the countryside of both eastern and western parts of Georgia. There are also several variants of "urban" Mravalzhamieri, originally from Tbilisi. Mravalzhamieri is typically sung in three-voice polyphony, in which two highly improvised melodic parts are developed on the background of a pedal drone in a free metre.

SangKam is a Male Voice choir currently 50 members strong from Hamar, Norway. It was established by conductor Erland Dalen in September 2019; the name is a combination of the words ‘Song’ and ‘Kam’ (as in comrade/buddy).

We are a non-profit organization and our goal is to be a important contributor to music culture in our region and to build a social community for men who like to sing in a choir.

Erland Dalen is also the founder and conductor for "Damenes aften (DA) "(aka ladies evening, est. 1992) in Hamar. Latest video release: https://youtu.be/kJJcTPprd4E.

Dalen is also the musical director for various project choirs with singers from all over Norway performing domestically and abroad including music from «Queen», "ABBA", "Les Miserables, “Phantom of The Opera" and " Stevie Wonder». «Elton John» is an upcoming show in Hamar (september, 2022) with over 180 singers & band.
