Lake Louise Sightseeing Gondola Ride -Ascending the mountain

The Lake Louise chair lift and gondola will take you up and down the Lake Louise ski area hill during the summer months in addition to the ski season. Both black and grizzly bears are regularly seen on the slopes below the gondola, although we were not fortunate enough to see a bear when we took the trip in July 2018. The one way trip takes about 14 minutes and even without the wildlife, it's a nice ride up with great views at the top. There's also some hiking trails at the top as well as a wildlife interpretive center at the top of the gondola. Riders can choose whether to be in an enclosed gondola or an open chair lift.
