Malaysia Fishing Trip: Bait Launcher Fishing at Air Papan Part 1 | FishingAdvNHF

After the test at Sembawang and East Coast Park, I was excited about the performance of he DIY Bait Launcher, there are a few things though I needed to do before I set off for a real fishing trip.

I modified the car tire air pump by blocking the pressure release valve and it is now capable of pumping up to 100 psi instead of the factory limit of 58 psi. I used some PVC pipes, elbows and T-joints, aluminium plate and plywood to construct a stand for the Bait Launcher. A longer handle made from the old mop handle was added on to the release valve, it trigger in lightning speed now.

I tweaked a little bit o the rig and when everything was done, I set off to Air Papan Beach, off Mersing in Malaysia. The day was perfect for fishing when I arrived, I set-up everything and shot out my first bait. Unfortunately, my bait was too soft and the Bait Launcher is too strong, the first launch failed with the bait flew off from the hook.
