Trains at Colwich Junction | Wednesday 9th August 2023

A short sequence of trains recorded at Colwich Junction on the West Coast Mainline (Between 12:55 and 13:50) on Wednesday 9th August 2023.

(1)The first train recorded was 390129 (Avanti West Coast) working 1A35m the 11:55 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston (Passing Right Time).

(2) A double 390 movement was next. Heading north was 390049 (Avanti West Coast) working 1F20, the 11:43 London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street (Pass 2 Early). Passing south was 390153 (Avanti West Coast) working 1M10, the 09:36 Glasgow Central to London Euston.

(3) Another northbound 390 followed; 390016 (Avanti West Coast) and 1H66, the 11:36 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly (Passing 18 Late).

(4) Direct Rail Services 68018 was heading north with 4S44, the 12:16 Daventry to Coatbridge (Pass 2 Early).

(5) An unidentified Freightliner Class 66 followed south with the 08:56 from Hillhead Sidings to Northampton Castle Yard.

(6) The penultimate movement of this session was an unidentified Class 350 (London Northwestern Railway) working 1U32, the 13:13 Crewe to London Euston (Pass 3 Late).

(7) The final sequence is another double 390 movement, with 390103 (Avanti West Coast) heading northbound working 1S63, London Euston to Glasgow Central (Pass 4 Late) and heading southbound is 390045 (Avanti West Coast) and 1A40, the 12:43 Liverpool Lime Street to London Euston (Pass 1 Late).
