While Facebook ads can be very effective if you know what you're doing, they are very ineffective and terribly expensive if you don't really know how to write a Facebook ad.

In this video I'm going to walk you through how to write great Facebook copy, and how to approach it from a creative perspective.

The most important aspect of your Facebook ad is your messaging, which is what I'm going to walk you through in this video. I want to help you avoid the biggest mistakes when writing your ads.

It all starts with your emotional inventory, which are your prospects’ frustrations; their wants, desires or aspirations; and their fears or worries.

The first part of learning how to write a Facebook ad that converts is to identify a single target market. You also need to be aware of Facebook policies when it comes to running ads and what words you cannot use.

Social media is not about selling stuff. It's about sharing common or shared experiences. Stories are very powerful, and you want to relay your prospect's frustration regarding what they are currently dealing with through your own story.

Through the story in your Facebook copy, you are identifying the problem, agitating the problem, and then providing the solution.

This is the key to learning how to write a Facebook ad that converts. Share your struggle so that people see themselves in your Facebook copy.

Once people see that change is possible, they’ll be much more likely to trust you and ultimately pay for the value you can provide them.
