RECIPE FOR MY 10 INCH CHRISTMAS CAKE:-
800g currants, 300g sultanas, 300g raisins, 100g glace cherries, 100g mixed peel finely chopped, 450g Plain Flour, 5-6 tablespoons of Brandy, half teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 level teaspoon of mixed spice, 450g unsalted butter, 450g soft brown sugar, 8 eggs, 1 and half to 2 large tablespoons of black treacle and if desired, half tablespoon to 1 tablespoons of golden syrup. bake in preheated oven 140c / 275f or gas mark 1 for 4 and half to 5 hours
