Cleaning out an old candle

Learn how to get old wax out of containers so you can re-use them!

Recycling and upcycling containers is a sustainable practice for candle making. Whether you bought the candle at a store or made it yourself, knowing how to get old wax out of the candle opens the door to opportunities for crafting with it (or making another candle).

Supplies:
- Heat Gun
- Paper Towels
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Ye Old Butter Knife

Alternatively, you can turn your candles upside down in the oven to drip wax out for mass cleaning. Takes less paper towels, but doesn’t require a heat gun!
