“Holland BPW: Clean Energy. Cleaner Community.”

Excellent utility service is a key factor influencing quality of life and economic development in local communities. The Holland Board of Public Works proudly provides four essential utility services to the greater Holland area: electricity, water, wastewater, and fiber internet. Holland BPW’s general manager, Dave Koster, will provide updates on some significant issues impacting these utilities as well as provide insights on challenges and opportunities ahead as Holland seeks to achieve its own energy goals while meeting the requirements of recently enacted legislation in the State of Michigan.

A lifelong Holland-area resident, Dave Koster has been the general manager of the Holland Board of Public Works since 2011, and this year, celebrates over three decades of service with the organization. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University. Passionate about public engagement, Dave also serves on the board of Lakeshore Advantage and as chair of the board of the Michigan Public Power Agency (MPPA). He has previously served on the American Public Power Association’s board of directors.
