AstraZeneca has taken a novel approach to unlocking the vast experience and expertise that exists in their leading scientists.

Joe de Sousa, Science and Technology Lead for Pharmaceutical Development at AstraZeneca, says that every trick in the book should be used to help all staff in an organisation benefit from this huge asset and bring this expertise into their own project.

He says: "We used the simple concept of Top Trump cards as one way of raising awareness of the expertise and experience colleagues have. By including a photo and some ice-breaker information the cards help to get a conversation going. The simple message hit home and raised a smile or two at the same time."
