Brother ScanNCut Tips & Tricks - Cutting Patterned Paper - Butterfly Bijou by Stampin’ Up!

In this tutorial, you will learn how to cut patterned paper with your Brother Scan and Cut SDX125. You can follow along with whichever model of ScanNCut that you have. The patterned paper featured in this tutorial is Butterfly Bijou designer series paper by Stampin’ Up! I shared tips and tricks on how to cut out two small sheets of butterflies from this pack of dsp. I shared how to use Direct Cut and to create an Outline Distance to cut out the butterflies while also ignoring small objects. I shared how to ignore objects you don’t want to cut. Then, I cut out an additional layer using Brushed Metallic Cardstock while increasing the Outline Distance. Using metallic cardstock behind small butterflies popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals really makes the butterflies pop. After cutting butterflies and layers, I shared how to add an oval shape to the mat to use for layering the You Are Amazing sentiment I punched out with the Double Oval Punch. I also shared other tips and tricks to help you achieve better results when cutting this dsp. I also shared several projects I created using the embellishments from the butterfly patterns I cut out. I shared cards, a diaper fold treat pouch, and a butterfly bookmark. A list of supplies is included below.
