All At Sea Group Build – A6M2-N (Rufe) - ep. 7
Welcome back to the All at Sea Group Build and the Hasegawa, 1/48th scale A6M2-N Rufe!
On today's episode, we are going to mix up and pour in our resin! I've been excited to try this stuff out! This is a pretty big step for the build, so let's hope it goes well.
For the water base, I'm using Art 'n Glow clear casting resin. I've played a bit with it and it seems to be a fairly easy to use and it appears to be a pretty forgiving product, but we'll see how it works for such a large mold.
Now, the resin will take at least 24 hours to dry, so while it is curing we are going to work on some cleanup for the floats, fuselage and wing joints. Then we will install all the floats and call it quits for today.
