SHCA 2023 Summer Saints Program Focuses on "The Armor of God"

During the four day Summer Saints program, held from June 26-29, students "put on the Armor of God" while learning about a different knightly virtue each day. Medieval church art and music were featured; the students also learned about the founding saints of religious orders during the Middle Ages. The Dominicans, Franciscans, Benedictines, and Carmelites were highlighted throughout the week. On Tuesday, while learning about St. Francis and his love of birds, the students were treated to a visit by the National Aviary and got to meet and learn about owls! Thank you to everyone who attended and to all of our volunteers–especially our teachers who organized and planned the week!
