‘Grey’s Anatomy’ said goodbye to another fan-favorite cast member in a heartbreaking twist during the March 19 episode. fans said goodbye to Katie Rogers (Samantha Marie Ware), who died following her cancer diagnosis. Prior to her death, Katie moved in with Lucas (Niko Terho) and Simone (Alexis Floyd) to receive hospice care and comfort in her final stages of her stage two gastric cancer diagnosis. Katie was introduced earlier in the season and became a fan-favorite as they rooted for a better prognosis each week. However, in real life, Niko shared that he was dreading the potential fate of Samantha’s character.
