What Happened to the Hotel Cecil? ABANDONED?

Just on the outskirts of downtown Los Angeles sits the currently abandoned Hotel Cecil. The site has had a horrific history, with the most recent tragic event coming in 2013 with the disappearance of Elisa Lam. The hotel unfortunately is located within the Skid Row district and despite being built as an opulent travelers hotel for wealthy international businessmen, most of the rooms of the hotel are legally designated as affordable housing and therefore a large portion of the guests are the transients and low income individuals that populate Skid Row. Join me in this video as we take a look at the history of this structure, how it got this way, why it became a hotspot for tragic events, and what the future holds for the Cecil.
