Jillian was on vacation in Mexico when her accident occurred, leaving her with a T-4 spinal cord injury and no feeling from the waist down. She was talking on the phone with a friend when she sat on the balcony railing and fell off, dropping three stories to the ground. When Jillian came to Gaylord she worked with her therapy team to create her goals. Eventually, using the Ekso exoskeleton at Gaylord, she was able to walk.
