This repair stopped a narrowboat engine EXPLODING (maybe) 💥

A hole 15mm x 15mm in the engine heat exchanger manifold of the narrowboat left it moored on a canal 30 miles north of London. The hole meant water which was supposed to be cooling the engine was instead leaking out, leaving the narrowboat at risk of overheating 🥵

We sent a Superfast Titanium Epoxy Putty Stick to the narrowboat to repair the leak. The putty was mixed by hand, applied over the hole and left to set. It became a rock hard material with temperature resistance to 280°C, sealing the hole.

Thanks to our repair, the narrowboat was soon on its way again from London to Manchester via Birmingham on the Grand Union Canal... and it didn't explode on the way
