NY STEINWAY HALL PIANO MARATHON 2005 - Roger Williams

On November 8, 2005, the 50th anniversary of his hit song, "Autumn Leaves," Roger celebrated by playing a 14-hour Piano Marathon at Steinway Hall in NYC. Starting at 7am, Roger improvised medleys all day from his audience's requests, drawing from his memory of 10,000 songs. He dedicated it to the return of music education to our schools, which he was passionate about. This is an amateur video and excerpt from that day as he performed "New York, New York," "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life," "All the Things You Are," and "Bumble Bee."
