Holidays in prison start in November when the weather cools. Thanksgiving in prison is followed by Christmas in prison is followed by New Years in prison. Prison food during the holidays is a little improvement, but it's no comparison to home-cooked meals. Inmates get together and cook meals, but a lot of the time the prison is providing brown paper bag meals of low quality during the holidays.
