What drives someone to push themselves to the brink of starvation? What does it take to go the distance, scraping a life from an unforgiving and uncaring land? In this new video, Clay Hayes will talk about his motivation and strategy for surviving ALONE Season 8.

ALONE is as real as it gets. With just a few basic pieces of survival gear and a case full of camera gear, 10 contestants are dropped off in along the shores of Chilko Lake, a remote wilderness in British Columbia, to survive as long as possible or until they're the last one standing. Woodsmanship, survival skills, bushcraft, isolation, family, determination - all of these things can impact the outcome.
