A MUST SEE. Cozy cathouse with insulation and heating.

I had the pleasure of having a Norwegian Forest cat named Egon, as my best friend for 17 years. He was like a dog and we could go for long walks together. When he was 2-3 years old, he loved to take walks in the woods whether it was day or night, summer or winter. He had full freedom. He had the choice of sleeping inside, which he did 3-4 days a week or taking a trip outside . Then came the idea of building a small insulated and heated shelter so he could relax after a walk in the night.
I built a small house that was insulated with Styrofoam and put a 100w lamp in a tin box that gave an approximately 18`C inside the house even though it was 20`C minus outside. I could control the temperature inside my house.
This worked excellently for 13 years until he died at the age of 17 in 2013.
I did everything for him. He had a good life and he was very my best friend. I miss him every day.
I have not got a new cat, because Egon was one in a million........
