Free Skoda MIB2 firmware update with download link (Columbus Amundsen Bolero)

How to update firmware in Skoda Bolero, Columbus, or Amundsen MIB2 system for free. Check the tutorial and install latest software in your radio/navigation system. Here you will see how to go from MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0475T to the most recent MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T SW Train which brings bug fixes and stability improvements. 🛠 Skoda MIB firmware update procedure
1. Enter hidden menu and check your current SW train. Check on mib-helper.com if you have the latest one.
2. Find and download latest supported firmware update for your Skoda on mibsolution.one (user and password: guest).
3. Use 8GB or larger SD card, format it with FAT32 file system with the smallest allocation size available.
4. Extract and copy firmware update files to the root directory of the SD card.
5. Remove SD cards from the main unit and insert update SD into SD1 port.
6. Press and hold MENU button for 3 seconds, select "Software update/versions", "Update", "SD card", select firmware, press "Start" and "Next".
7. Wait patiently. Main unit will reboot 3 times before the new firmware is installed.
8. When the installation is complete you can press the arrow in the upper-right corner, "Cancel". Unit will reboot one final time.
9. Press and hold MENU button to confirm that the unit is running new firmware version now.
10. Use scan tool like OBDeleven or VCDS to clear the B201A fault.

ℹ️ MIB2 Technisat/Preh unit running firmware 02xx will allow you to install only other 02xx firmware version. It is possible to install higher versions (03xx and 04xx) but some system modifications are required. 0254 Is the latest version released for VW ZR units 02xx
