Birding Fails - When Birdwatching Doesn't Work
Birdwatching is a great hobby. But sometimes it just doesn't work. Lets' see some of the most common bloopers in birding! Please subscribe to continue learning what makes life AWESOME: https://BioBush.tv/subscribe
The bloopers fall into a few categories.
"I need a bigger lens" - You can see an unusual bird or amazing behavior, but it's so far away that you can barely see it, and wish for a bigger telephoto lens.
"Bye bye birdie" - You see a bird and start to observe/record, and the bird flies away, never to be seen again. What was it?
"It was right there" - Like Bye bye birdie, but the bird leaves before you start to observe/record. You get to look at some sticks.
"Stick happens" - There's a bird visible, but it's behind a stick, leaf, bird feeder, fence, or any other obstruction that prevents observing/recording the bird. Pro birders identify birds by sound as often as they do by sight, because of this.
"Arbo-focus" - my name for the blooper where your camera's autofocus wants to look at sticks and trees instead of birds. I have so many shots that are perfectly clear sticks with a blurry bird in the background.
Many examples provided of each blooper from my extensive library of failed footage.
