Once upon a time, we had little money. Coming up with recipes wasn't as much of a problem as coming up with groceries was. Many many times, we had NOTHING in our cabinets. However, God always whispered to someone to bring us some groceries or inform us of a program that would tide us over until our circumstances passed.

We've been in this situation a few times in the past years. However, they never lasted long. Thank goodness the knowledge has stuck with me. I still enjoy making these recipes and remembering where we came from.

I hope you enjoy this simple recipe. There really isn't any measuring. The spices and ingredients you add are all up to you. Feel free to change it up to your family's needs/liking.

I've also added chicken to this recipe. Very good. Use what you have. That's what it's all about.
