Coronavirus: Community spread of COVID-19 variants could sent cases soaring

There are warnings that if the new COVID-19 variants spread more through community transmission than through contact with people who travelled, it could send cases of the novel coronavirus soaring.

The country is starting to see a decrease in both cases and hospitalizations, but provinces are taking no chances with some considering additional measures to prevent the spread.

There's also concern of spread in schools, after cases have been reported in various educational facilities. Heather Yourex-West reports.
