Words matter with Kel Richards: ‘The Oxford Comma’ explained
Writer and Broadcaster Kel Richards explains the use of the “Oxford Comma”.
“The question is if you’ve got a list of things how many commas should be in the list,” Mr Richards told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Now most grammar say drop the last comma the one before the 'and', but the Oxford University press insisted its style guide you put in every comma after every item on the list.
“Now, I like the idea, I think the more commas the more clarity.”
