360 video: Qutub Minar, Delhi, India

This minaret is the most impressive part of the Qutb complex. Its construction was ordered by the first ruler of the Mamluk dynasty, Quṭb al-Dīn Aibak in the 12th century AD. The UNESCO has made it a World Heritage Site in 1993.

Towering at the height of 73 metres, the minaret is made out of marble and red sandstone. It took nearly 2 centuries to complete it to the state we can admire today. Levels were added by various rulers, the last of them by Sultan Firuz Shah Tughlaq in the 1370s.
