Cloth on a Character Rig: Namid by Jess Wrubel

Namid is a character that I rigged for the University of Central Florida production "Dreamweaver." Early during character design, we established that our character needed to wear a dress. We had the tools, and decided that we wanted to use Maya nCloth. I spent a lot of time researching and testing before I came up with a method of attaching the cloth to a character rig. This video represents just a fraction of the time that I spent on this project. I had a ton of fun learning about cloth, and look forward to getting better at using it in the future!

All of the cloth that we applied to the film would not have been possible without the help of two of my classmates: Samantha Sokolis and Kelly Herbut.
